Overall, the online learning part of this class has been pretty fair. There were a lot of things I already knew, such as everything on the video list. I like the fact that I can schedule it into my own time, and there isn't a huge rush for everything. I also like how the forum posts have everyone give an idea or opinion, which ensures that everyone in learning. I do not, however, enjoy blogging. I have a strong opposition to blogs in general, which is why I write this with a mote of disgust.
I haven't taken any other online classes, so I have nothing to compare this class with. There are certain things that this class has an advantage with -- again, for example, the schedule freedom. But sometimes it's necessary to talk to a professor face to face. (Yes, in this particular class we can go talk to you, but that's not always the case, from what I hear.)
I've taken a great number of english courses, and those would not translate well into an online course. In fact, I'm not entirely sure what kinds of courses would.
